Beginning on Sept. 11 and continuing through Nov., overnight milling and repaving work will take place on the 495 Express Lanes between mile markers 44 near Lee Highway and 55 near the northern terminus in Tysons.
Work will be conducted weekdays from about 9:30 p.m. to about 5 a.m., and will require closures of ramps, segments of the 495 Express Lanes, and single left-lane closures in the general-purpose lanes. Travelers are encouraged to follow detours to the I-495 general-purpose lanes or seek alternate routes.
