Simply use the forms below to take care of any invoices or recent missed tolls on the 495, 95 or 395 Express Lanes. And for our rental car drivers? Received an invoice?

This is for anyone who has received an invoice from us in the mail. The best way to avoid increasing fines and penalties? Submit the info found on your invoice to:

  • Pay your toll(s) and administrative fee(s)
  • Tell us if you think we made a mistake
  • Check on the status of your dispute

Recently missed a toll?

This is for anyone who needs to pay for a missed toll after their trip on the Express Lanes. Simply enter your trip information below to:

  • Take care of your toll and the $1.50 fee by scheduling an automatic payment for when your trip is processed and ready
  • You can also receive an email notification as a reminder to call us and pay once your trip is processed
  • If it’s been a while since your trip and you are still waiting for your invoice, call us at 1-855-495-9777 and we’ll sort it out

Stay ahead of missed tolls with Express Lanes email alerts

Signing up for our email alerts that keep you on top of any unpaid tolls is a great idea. Just leave your details in the form and click ‘Sign up.’ Want to stay ahead with alerts for more than one car? Simply re-enter your email address and submit the new license plate information.

You can also opt out of these alerts at any time by re-entering your information and clicking ‘Opt Out.’

Receive reminders for low E-ZPass® balances

E-ZPass® customer? Sign up for low balance account alerts with the E-ZPass® agency that issued your account to help avoid future toll invoices. What happens if you don’t pay a toll?


Missing a toll isn’t a big deal, but if left unpaid, it can become one. It’s best to act quickly before time and money add up. Here’s what happens if you don’t pay for your missed toll*:

  • Missed toll (within 5 days of trip) - $1.50 fee
  • First invoice (6-35 days after trip) - $12.50 fee
  • Second invoice (45-74 days after trip) - $25.00 fee
  • Collections (90+ days after trip) - $100.00 fee
  • Court (180+ days after trip) - $100, plus court fees and civil penalties set by Virginia law

*As the operator, we don’t and cannot, by law, profit from administrative fees and civil penalties related to toll enforcement. Any administrative fees assessed for collection purposes are outlined by Virginia law and judges enforce the Virginia code and impose civil penalties.
